Although I actively avoid watching television, one of my guilty pleasures is The Walking Dead. I say guilty, because what started out as a genuinely compelling story quickly devolved into an absurd farce, yet like a bad car wreck on the highway, I can’t force myself to stop watching. A more appropriate title would be The Talking Dead, since talking is mostly all that happens each episode. The walking dead themselves have become little more than a nuisance, quickly dispatched with an improbable stab to the skull so the characters can get back to their conversations. At this point, I hate all the characters so much, I am mostly still watching in hopes they will eventually meet a cruel and painful death.

The programming crudely superimposed over the story line is as disgusting and shameful as it is increasingly obvious. In addition to pushing the ubiquitous interracial breeding/multiculturalism/diversity narrative, the show wants to tell us that, in a SHTF scenario, we better rob and murder our fellow human beings if we expect to survive. Above all else, TWD paints a picture of human beings as self-centered, treacherous and disloyal. What started out as a group of survivors trying to do the right thing in a bad situation has, in season six, devolved into an animalistic pack of murderers no better than any of the foes they thwarted in previous seasons.

In the season finale this week, we are once again supposed to feel sympathetic for the group when they are captured by the uber-evil Negan. In terms of pre-programming, this is the series’ most revealing scene yet, in which Negan gives Rick and the others a big dose of reality:

Whatever you do—no matter-what—you don’t mess with the new world order. The new world order is this—and it is really very simple. So even if you’re stupid—which you very may well be—you can understand it. You ready? Here it goes, pay attention: Give me your shit, or I will kill you. You work for me now…You have shit? You give it to me. That’s your job. Now I know, that is a mighty big, nasty pill to swallow. But swallow it, you most certainly will. You ruled the roost, you built something. You thought you were safe. I get it. But—the word is out. You are not safe. Not even close. In fact you are pegged—even more pegged if you don’t do what I want. And what I want is half your shit. And if that is too much, you can make, find or steal more and it will even out sooner or later. This is your way of life now. The more you fight back, the harder it will be. So if someone knocks on your door, you let us in. We own that door. You try to stop us and we will knock it down.

This is the most powerful piece of mind-control/programming in the entire series so far. Negan isn’t just describing the new normal for Rick and his cohorts, he is describing the real world you and I live in today. His repeated use of the phrase “new world order” is purposefully blatant, so that even the dullest mouth-breathers among us will get the message. By the way, the new world order isn’t some “conspiracy theory” fantasy. It is a documented fact. Here are dozens of examples of US presidents and other powerful political figures espousing this very goal.

To buy a home, or start a business, or get a college degree, or purchase a new car, most of us must first secure a loan through a bank or other financial institution. If we do not repay that loan with interest, the thing we used it to procure will be taken away from us. But let’s assume that I pay off my mortgage and I own the land my home sits on free and clear. If I don’t pay property taxes, the government will take what I “own” and leave me out on the street, where I will be arrested and imprisoned for vagrancy. If I take out a loan to start a business and it never generates enough profit to repay the principal plus interest, my business will be seized and liquidated by the bank. When the government, or the FBI, or the tax man comes knocking on your door, you let them in. They own that door. Try to stop them, and they will knock it down.

We thought we ruled the roost as home owners. We thought we built a business with our bare hands. But in reality, we have actually been working for the banks. That is our job. As the saying goes: we owe, we owe, so off to work we go.

We thought we had our retirement sorted, when the orchestrated “Lehman Shock” vaporized savings and investments, forcing all of us and even generations yet to be born into debt. We thought refinancing our mortgages was a great way to enhance the value of our homes, but now many of us owe more to the bank than our home is actually worth. It is now obvious the idea that home values only ever go up is a lie. The whole proposition of a home purchase as an “investment” is itself risible. Furthermore, in the U.S. it is a matter of pride to identify one’s self as a “homeowner,” not to mention a “taxpayer.” It’s as if Americans no longer understand why the Revolutionary War was fought. Taking pride in paying taxes to a corrupt government is the dictionary definition of brainwashed.

Even in the case of student loans, where there is no asset to repossess, the government will steal your money (a.k.a. garnish your wages) if you are unable or refuse to pay back money borrowed to earn what are increasingly overpriced and useless degrees. Useless, because there are no jobs and no future prospects for the majority of new graduates out there.

But it doesn’t matter if you are a degree-earning, home-owning, tax-paying rule-follower. None of that guarantees safety. The reality is, we live in a world where none of us are safe. Governments didn’t protect their citizens on 9/11, London 7/7, Paris 11/13 or Brussels 3/23. Mass surveillance, the TSA and endless wars don’t make us safe—quite the opposite. Yet we are expected to continue relinquishing privacy and freedoms in the hope the government will eventually be able to “make us” safe. In case you haven’t figured it out by now, it is the government and the institutions that rule it (corporations and banks) that make us unsafe. Either governments are so incompetent they are unable to prevent these attacks from happening, or they are complicit in these crimes. In either scenario, we are not safe. Not even close.

There is the government we see, represented by neutered puppets like Barack Obama, David Cameron and Shinzo Abe, and then there is the shadow government. The deep state. These are our owners, the wealthy elites who are promoting the new world order. You don’t mess with the new world order. The elites get richer, not because they are smarter or work harder, but because they extract wealth from the economy in the form of interest and rents. In other words, they don’t produce wealth, they simply steal it. Just like Negan.

The government is bought and paid for by corporations, who are owned by commercial and investment banks. These, in turn, are controlled by central banks. Central banks defer to the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. At the top of the pyramid is the Bank for International Settlements. This is the rarefied space where the financial elite dwell, silently implementing their plans for a one world bank, a one world currency and a one world government. At the bottom, being crushed underneath the control matrix pyramid, are you and I. Blissfully ignorant, asleep and dreaming. The corporate media, which perpetuates propaganda and lies, is the primary tool used by the elites to ensure we never wake up.

As Negan points out, these so-called elites think we are stupid. We are so stupid that we are not even aware we are chattel on a tax plantation, inmates in an open-air prison called “Earth.” Their message to us is simple. “Give me your shit, or I will kill you. You work for me now…You have shit? You give it to me. That’s your job.” This is your world in 2016. Resistance is futile. You don’t mess with the new world order. Negan is telling us: we are already defeated. Acquiesce and submit. This is what is known as “revelation of the method,” preconditioning aimed at getting us to accept the agendas being implemented. Without our explicit or merely implied consent, these agendas cannot move forward.

Most of us like to think that, if we were in Rick’s position, we would resist. Of course we would fight back! We would kill Negan! But how many of us are actually prepared to risk ourselves, our families and everything we hold dear? The answer to that question is clear once you realize that you already own nothing, not even your own freedom.
